got even more out of a 2nd night of SML at sultan room & relieved they had a whole other bag of ecstatic meshed peaks. focused on booker stardrum (& how his toweled snare meant that it never overpowered the bloops' attack) & guitarist gregory uhlmann (easily the subtlest up there, playing little staccato figures that i assumed last night were loops). #nyc

had my head properly spun by SML at sultan room. bit less abstract than i was expecting, but maybe more magical, especially the imperceptible studio-like blend between jeremiah chiu's modular synth & booker stardrum's beats (& maybe sax & guitar loops?), building to over-the-top bubble-jazz grooves. #nyc #jazz
