Was hoping this article in the New York Times would be about bats eating mosquitoes but I was wrong. Headline and a single sentence in the article were there to make bats seem like friends (they are, but not because of how many mosquitoes they eat, which is very few). for some reason, the #nyc tower records has come up a few times this week & it really all feels like a dream now, just the scale & sprawl, especially when tower books opened, too (plus, of course, other music across the street).

an out evening in every way celebrating the allen ginsberg centennial on little island with thomas bartlett, laurie anderson, anne waldman, marc ribot, & crew. heavy/joyous/surprising/fractured/ecstatic new settings for ginsberg's words, the hudson oddly serene except for the odd loud party boat. #nyc
