People were worried fall color wouldn't be good this year but I think it turned out great

Three small oak leaves with coarse edges are lined in red and hang from a twig that runs down from left to right and behind that more blurred out leaves of the same kind in the background and addition to dark, green and brown spots.

The calm before the #storm, made more lovely by the sight of bare #oak #trees which means no more blowing and bagging leaves — at least not in the backyard… 🍂🍁

The sun sets over Memphis on December 28, 2025. The trees are all bare, having finally dropped all their mess. A cold front is coming; it’s 73 degrees out and tomorrow’s high will only be 37.
