Interesting to see that OpenSuse Leap 16 has an XFCE Wayland session option during install. It uses labwc, so there you have it. No more X11 in OpenSuse Leap. Afaic see it's working just fine ootb.Nice.

Maybe it is time for me to go back to debian stable or some such. #Opensuse is pushing half baked solutions, which makes me sad after all those years of reliable services. On top, I don't understand this obsession for Wayland (which isn't up to speed on Desktop).

TIL: Thorsten Kukuk works on no_new_privs/NoNewPrivs aka removing suid binaries from #openSUSE
Reading thkukuk.de/blog/no_new_privs/ I never realized how many such binaries exists.

Enabling no_new_privs/NoNewPrivs, disabling setuid on Linux
Setuid binaries are not dangerous in themselves, but can lead to a security nightmare if they have vulnerabilities. The no_new_privs flag from the kernel effectively disables setuid binaries. This article explains how a Linux system with no_new_privs enabled by default can work.
