... a quick search found that 24 of Jessica's datasets are now public on our BioDare2 resource - for example,
#OpenData
I used to work on this area - references in the preprint from 1992(!). Still, great to see how useful this approach can be. 3/n

I have no connection to the Catholic faith and its practices and don’t know a lot about Catholic saints.
But I just want to note that that since today there is a canonized Catholic saint who provided lists of of Marian apparitions and Eucharistic miracles he catalogued himself as #OpenData on the Internet.

πŸ“’ Looking forward to my return visit to Norwich and the @…, this time to give the Dame Janet Thornton lecture on Thursday 13th.
Register link (with reception afterwards 🍰, do come and say hello!):
➑️ #circadian clocks in #plantsci 🌿 and a bit on #OpenData infrastructure πŸ’½, I'm re-using the notion of Arrival from Katherine Trebeck and Jeremy Williams' book, the #Economics of Arrival. Might this help us researchers to bridge the Knowledge-Action Gap (see below) ?

Conference vignette πŸ‘€: #OpenScience is about much more than #OpenData. Presenting unpublished work is also Openness, as social science alumna Dr. Ros Attenborough reminded us. And if you can share that way, then...
In the Presidential symposium, another lab alumnus introduced a mouse protein that massively affected the clock ⏰ . His group found it through an ambitious phosphoproteomic πŸ§ͺ candidate selection approach on a cell line 🧫 , looking beyond the canonical idea of the clockwork (TTFL in the jargon). Canonical here means canonised by a Nobel prize.
A good friend from Japan explained in the Q&A that his group had just found the SAME gene in a genetic screen of mice 🐁with altered sleep patterns πŸπŸ’€πŸ›Œ. We know the clock controls sleep. So, independent evidence across continents.πŸ‘
Over dinner they started to coordinate how they would each publish their work. #Science working.
