A chalk stream runs towards you through the ancient woodland. You can hear a wren singing its heart out, along with crows, cuckoo, perhaps some reed warbler, blue tits, and there are cetti's warblers though not in this clip.

A field rose at Fowlmere RSPB. #bloomscrolling #outdoors

A straggly rose shoot falls down the side of the bush, bearing plain white blooms. Not the showy kind, no, the plain old functional sort, with five white petals about a scruffy core of yellow stamen.

Looking down over heather moorland to a patchwork of green fields in the valley. Darker fells line the opposite valley side. A glistening lake sits between. The sky is broken cloud and very atmospheric.
