I love how Fediverse apps like #Peertube and Mastodon are connected and you can like videos from Mastodon. However, the user experience sucks. If I'm on a Peertube page I need to have an account on that server to be able to like videos.
To avoid that, I need to paste the Peertube URL into Mastodon's search to see the video's post and I can like it from there.

tl;dr:
- Unis müssen souveräner auftreten und einfach machen, statt die Marketingsprüche von Meta und Co nachzuplappern (nur da gibt's die ominöse Reichweite yadda yadda)
- UX kann noch besser werden.
- Warum wird #fediverse Entwicklung nicht aus dem Militäretat bezahlt? Das ist die Verteidigungslinie im Info-War!
- 1 Schuss IRIS-T kostet 249.854 oder ca. 31.231,75 Monate PeerTube Hosting.

Ich vermisse sie.

Heute erste VL im neuen Jahr und ich hatte mein komplettes Equipment nicht da und musste improvisieren (mit Webcam aufnehmen, Handy-Mikro, ...)
Zur Entspannung erstmal ein Short rausgeschnitten.
Aber ist #peertube eigentlich das richtige dafür? Hat hier jemand schon mal #loops benutzt? Sollten quatschige Kurzvideos eher dahin? Aber eigentlich soll das schon zusammen mit dem Rest meiner Tube, aber es könnte auch besser anzeigen auf Mastodon... hmm.

Could the #CBSNews thing be the event that launches #Peertube to the public eye? Especially if #PowersThatBe can pull that #60minutes from #archive_org, #Fediverse has no such vulnerability, plus no one even knows Fediverse exists. 😅

As horrid, tragic, and fascist as this day's news has been... the one bright spot around here is that people are learning about why federated, peer distributed, and non-corporate platforms are essential for our democracy.

Das ging super schnell. Das Original ist eine Zoom Aufnahme. Man sieht noch Teile vom Desktop/Menü und andere Teilnehmys.
- In der Timeline 2 Kopien des Videos ablegen, synchronisieren und zuschneiden: 1x die Folien, 1x der Speaker. Zoomen und Platzieren -> fertig. 🤗
