Also die #Peertube-App auf iOS ist wirklich ein Graus.
Das Ding ist seit einem Jahr released, hat aber so eklatante Schwächen, dass die Nutzung echt keinen Spass macht.
Nachdem sie mich in den letzten Tagen mit unverständlichen SSL-Zertifikatsmeldungen bombardiert hat, habe ich versucht, sie neu einzurichten - kann jetzt aber nicht einmal mehr über meinen Server einloggen.

Heute erste VL im neuen Jahr und ich hatte mein komplettes Equipment nicht da und musste improvisieren (mit Webcam aufnehmen, Handy-Mikro, ...)
Zur Entspannung erstmal ein Short rausgeschnitten.
Aber ist #peertube eigentlich das richtige dafür? Hat hier jemand schon mal #loops benutzt? Sollten quatschige Kurzvideos eher dahin? Aber eigentlich soll das schon zusammen mit dem Rest meiner Tube, aber es könnte auch besser anzeigen auf Mastodon... hmm.

I love how Fediverse apps like #Peertube and Mastodon are connected and you can like videos from Mastodon. However, the user experience sucks. If I'm on a Peertube page I need to have an account on that server to be able to like videos.
To avoid that, I need to paste the Peertube URL into Mastodon's search to see the video's post and I can like it from there.

There used to be a Google provided cli tool that allowed you to script the uploading of videos to YouTube. (Google-CLI I think?). They pulled support a few years ago.
Two questions:
1) does anyone know of any such tools that might exist today?
2) Are there any similar tools for PeerTube?

Could the #CBSNews thing be the event that launches #Peertube to the public eye? Especially if #PowersThatBe can pull that #60minutes from #archive_org, #Fediverse has no such vulnerability, plus no one even knows Fediverse exists. 😅

Marketing Idea:
Create a series of posts, memes or videos where real people share their positive experiences with #Mastadon, #Pixelfed, #PeerTube, #Loops, #Lemmy, #Friendica, etc. - like the example below. Then post those ad nauseum on the equivalent services: X, BlueSky, Threads, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Reddit, Meta, etc. Think of it like a guerrilla campaign injecting positive experiences directly into the tech bros home turf. Be relentless with the messages.
I've seen some Fediverse content on U.S. social media platforms, like videos explaining what the Fediverse is, or how to choose a server on Mastodon. But, with all respect to our technical experts (love you all), we shouldn't have nerds selling the Fediverse to non-technical social media users. People will relate to real people connecting seamlessly across different platforms - for family, for entertainment, for education.

- In der Timeline 2 Kopien des Videos ablegen, synchronisieren und zuschneiden: 1x die Folien, 1x der Speaker. Zoomen und Platzieren -> fertig. 🤗
