Some granite boulders resist weathering but others get etched by the action of waves and winds like the big one here on the New Hampshire store and others, in the background are chunks of fill that were blasted and transported by truck!

One thing I like about photographing fireworks is that they are so outside normal sensory experience and have so much range in brightness that you can get interesting photos with different exposures and even when the autofocus "fails" you can get a pretty image
