On our hike last Saturday I wanted to get an ipression of the part of the trail - the problem: the original photo just looked bad - chaos, "bad" light, ...
but I liked the structure and so - converted it to monochrome and was quite surprised to be honest!

This image is a black-and-white photograph capturing a rugged forest scene. The foreground features a patch of bare ground surrounded by dense vegetation, including grasses, shrubs, and fallen branches. Twisted tree roots and exposed soil add texture and a sense of wildness to the scene. In the background, a thick cluster of evergreen trees creates a dark, shadowy backdrop, enhancing the depth and contrast of the image.

A Thousand Meters Above The Valley (2021)
(After this harsh summer, the grasses will probably start looking like this much sooner this year — back then it was late October...)
#ThrowbackThursday #LandscapePhotography

View of a mountain ridge with cliffs of light gray rocks and very steep grassy slopes dropping down towards the valley. The grass is in shades of golden brown. A small foot path is zigzagging up from a small pass towards the center peak. Pale blue sky with some cirrus clouds.

#SilentSunday #photography #throwback #BlueHour

Blue hour photograph from a significant elevation of many skyscrapers between a body of water with several piers in the foreground and a dark hill range in the background at roughly the same height as the skyscrapers. The skyscrapers have many of their interior lights on and two tall skyscrapers are quite prominent: one is outlined in a very large triangular mesh of linear lights and topped with two antennas, while the other is the tallest in the view with a profile that gently tapers of toward…

I took this picture at Bhandaarakaeri Matha in Udupi (Sep. 29th). The portrait's placement, excess ambient light, and people milling about made it challenging to photograph, but I'm pleased with how it turned out.📱
