SS - Live at Shinjuku Loft (1979)
I wish there was more of this amazing footage 🤩
SS was one of the first Japanese punk bands, and they had a really cool style.
Active between 1978 and 1979 in Kyoto. Never released any music in their brief time. EP in 1984 is pretty good.

CH3 - “Fear of Life” LP (1982)
This is such a great album, and yet I don’t see it mentioned often when reading about bands from this era.
Their sound was a really interesting mix of punk and traditional rock, which was unlike most of the other LA bands they played with.
Some really good variety from song-to-song too.

Some #punk bands lose peeps when they move from being non-political to political.
But I think a far larger issue is when they move from playing 1 minute songs to 3 minute songs.
