I've restructured my home systems and now have 2 raspberry pi 3, one pi 4, and a screen to recycle. They're all only 1GB of RAM unfortunately.
I've looked at some ideas, but didn't find convincing enough yet.

It took me about 1 to 2 hours and a #RaspberryPi 4 to set up my own #Jellyfin installation.
This is basically a „private #Spotify“ with your own music (also handles movies/shows but I‘m not using that). With Manet, there‘s also a very slick iOS app to use with the Jellyfin server.

Oh dear. One of my Raspberry Pis (that has been happily running for years and years) has suddenly stopped.
It's a Pi 3B. If I disconnect and reconnect the USB power cable there is a brief flash of the green activity LED and then nothing else happens.
Worse than that, there is a distinct smell of electrical burning. No sign of any magic smoke but I wonder if that escaped earlier and is now long gone.

Although honestly the craziest thing about this project is that an 8GB Pi 5 will currently set you back the best part of £200.
Are RAM prices ever going to go back to sensible levels, I wonder.
