One of the things it stressed is that we really don't know the motivation at this point. I think we're closer to "extremely online and weird" but we can't really say "he's a Groyper." I think this is pretty likely, but we should be honest that we don't actually know.
This is where I think it's important to realize we're operating in two spaces: reality and the meme space. The right now longer has a separation between the two. The meme they want to spread to attack the left is that it was some how associated with leftists (especially trans folks), so this is the meme they believe.
It's useful, on a memetic level, to disrupt this. The Groyper meme is a pretty solid response. But, at least as far as I'm aware, we're still not sure that's true. But we don't have to collapse meme space and reality. We have absurdism.

The top one is a Mullard OA10 which is apparently mid 60's.
The very very pretty bottom one I think is a GEC GEX00; a wire contact germanium - look close! It's early 50's I believe.

Just finished "Valor", edited by Isabelle Melançon and Megan Lavey-Heaton. It's a collection of re-told fairy tales with female protagonists and includes a mix of comics and written stories. Lots of great stuff, even if my distaste for monarchy soured it a bit for me (not all of the heroines are princesses, at least). Has a lot of cool queer romance in it.
I think I liked "The Steadfast Tin Automation", "Black Bull", and "Eggchild" best overall.

Hot take: A REST API does not have "endpoints." It has one start point, and then links.
"Endpoints" are what RPC-style APIs use, where each distinct URL is essentially a distinct function call.
That's a fine way to design an API. You're not wrong for doing it. But it's not a REST API. It's RPC, even if it's using HTTP verbs and error codes.
Terms matter.

Does anyone have any #recommendations for an ergonomic #keyboard and mouse / combo?
I currently have a ProtoArc EKM01 combo - but the mouse scroll wheel died a few months ago and recently the left shift key keeps popping off when I'm mid flow.
I like that it's bluetooth with no need for USB dongles, that they're both USB-C rechargeable, and has a num pad.
Do I just replace it near like-for-like with the EKM01 Plus and give ProtoArc a second chance? Is the Logitech Ergo K860 _really_ the best option (at ~£180 for both keyboard and mouse, and non-rechargeable)?

Just finished "Dreams from Many Rivers" by Margarita Engle. It's a Latin-American history of the United States, written in poems that take on the points of view of a number of both fictional and actual people. It starts with the arrival of Spanish colonists in Puerto Rico, which was in fact the first part of the present-day States to experience European colonialism.
Its super informative and a great read to appreciate the complexities of history that ICE and the US white supremacist movement are trying to sweep under the rug. Like how the fuck do you deport a person whose indigenous and then Mexican ancestors lived in Arizona for centuries but now that it's claimed by the US since they speak Spanish they're "foreign."
It's a pretty quick read since it's a lot of short poems, and it's got lovely illustrations by Beatriz Gutierrez Hernandez.

Read the first of Martha Well's Murderbot books, "All Systems Red" in which a security drone rescues it's crew from violence and death on the planet they're exploring.
The robot seems barely distinguished from the cyborgs and the humans really. Certainly organic parts, autonomy, inner life. Seems to not particularly like the humans but also seems to be pretty much like one.
Seemed short, like the first episode of a show rather than the whole series. Which I suppose I should have expected if I'd noticed it was a novella. There is indeed a whole series of them. Given I bought 'em in a bundle expect I'll read more.
