I still hope someday someone says they want a different KIND of housing. Affordable. Modular. Recyclable, and made with living humans in mind, not ad copy and investment portfolio. I do not expect to live this long, but since the middle of the last century, i've been hoping.

Carboliq has been quite transparent with data from its trial runs, and that data looks quite favorable. Its technology is sufficiently different from most other chemical recycling approaches that it seems worthwhile to pursue.
Many thanks to Stephan Aschauer (Ex-Carboliq) and Christian Haupts (Recenso) for their time. Also, many thanks to Kevin Carl, who is always a helpful source on these topics and is part of the reason why I consider Carboliq's technology relatively promising.

*Edit2: falscher Artikel 🙈

The roots of Carboliq's tech can be traced back to another company named AlphaKat that was once a partner of Recenso. They parted ways long ago. AlphaKat has, over the years, found plenty of people excited about its technology, although it often did not achieve what it promised. I touch many aspects of that complex story only briefly. Recenso developed the technology independently, first as a waste-to-fuel technology (Dieselwest), later with a different focus on plastics recycling as Carboliq.
