This week's pickups! Dino Crisis (in space) and Sudeki on OG Xbox. Played neither of these. Reviews seem positive. Tenchu on PS2 because it had a memory card inside the box, bonus. On PS1 we have Twisted Metal 2, original XCOM (I played the DOS version), and the fantastic Raiden Project shmup! #retrogaming

This weekend went from programming EPROMs to playing Final Fantasy 6. Not a bad way to end things overall. It also means I get to keep my cache of 27C322s for other custom carts. However, it looks great and gets to go back up on the shelf.

The RetroTINK is now hooked up into the SCART switch along with the capture card on the computer. Switched back over to the JVC TM-H150CG because it's a better CRT than the Sony PVM-2530 and it takes up a bit less space. Still need to arrange the cables a bit, but I think this weekend is gonna be perfect for playing some games.

Went ahead and resoldered the pins connecting the EPROM to the cart as it looked like I had rushed slightly when putting everything together. Got the SNES hooked up to the TV and after standard cartridge stuff the game fired right up! Looks like I can put the programmer away for the time being.

Okay, the setup is solid now. SCART into the `gscart` switch which splits the output. One goes to the Sony PVM-2530, the other output goes to the RetroTINK 4K. I tried to get the colors to match somewhat on the CRT, but it's a fool's errand to be honest. However, once work is over it'll be time to progress more in FF6.

Okay, with all the changes and ill-will towards the old cart: it's time to beat up on some FF6 bad guys!

Hrmm, seems like I need to check a few things out about the PCB as I have somehow lost all of my saves on that cart. However, I also feel like absolute crap which means I'm moving over to the SD2SNES and starting over. I'm thinking about streaming FF6 and just chilling after work because _reasons_.

Cleaning up the office a bit and getting the CRTs in there for their permanent home. The JVC fit perfectly beside the audio rack and everything is hooked up without too much issue. Still waiting on the SCART to BNC breakout for the Sony, but even it's now in the office as well.

Okay, removed the second MiSTer and made room for the OG Mega Drive/Genesis. Got it hooked up, found the right power adapter and SCART cable, and even cleaned it up a bit. Think I'm done futzing around with the shelf for the time being.

So far, so good. Getting ready to tackle the Phantom Forest in FF6 (about 4.5 hours in) and everything is proceeding smoothly. No issues with SRAM or the EPROM. Also, FF6 is so very, very good...

Time to get back to FF6 after dying in a desert near a castle...and forgetting to save which means it's back to Narshe and a lot of ground to cover again.

The Ninden-Drawer came in so I got it installed, made sure everything was wired up correctly, and did some test fitment of a few cartridges. I like this design more than the previous one, and it looks better which is a nice bonus.

I may still feel like crap and not have gotten enough sleep due to coughing, but that doesn't mean I'm not gonna relax and play some quality* games this weekend. The MiSTer is running perfectly and the PVM is still working like a champ.

Ooh it's just like Christmas 1982 again - spending Boxing Day playing with the exciting new Sinclair Spectrum I got for Christmas.
Only this time it's a TheSpectrum modern-day clone, it was a present I bought myself, and most important of all I don't have to switch it off every time someone else in the family wants to watch TV!
