Lovely photo of the #roundhouse from yesterday. In other news we've finished the interior render, so the roundhouse is now habitable.

We're continuing with rendering the outside of the #roundhouse walls; the new render is sheltered by damp Hessian curtains to protect it from direct sun, to prevent it drying before the lime is fully cured. This is all hard physical work and we've at least six days more of it, but it's going well.

Patching in weatherboarding to fit the shape of the end of the bale wall. New pieces of waney edge board have been fitted between the window and the end of the wall, and cut with a jigsaw to roughly meet the shape of the bales.
The house looking dark and mysterious wrapped in olive green Hessian curtains. The turf roof, which looked completely dead in mid June, shows lots of bright green growth.

Well, it's not quite 11:00 and we've already completed the section of rendering we planned for today. That feels good.
Not going to do any more today because it's extremely hard physical work, but tomorrow's shift should complete the first coat on the outside of the building.
