An high alpine glacial origin zone at around 4000m elevation. Most of the summit and ridge line is covered in thick ice & snow, providing only little contrast to the mostly overcast cloudy white sky. A bit further down the first seracs are already forming, ahead of the so called "labyrinth zone" caused by a sudden steep 1000m+ drop (out of frame). View of the upper part of a vast glacial valley with a full view of the main branch and some side branches of the remaining parts of the (still massive) glacier which has been shaping the valley for the past ~15,000 years.
