In part, it's a shame. But it was inevitable, as the very same rockets that sent stuff to the ISS are putting military crap in orbit. So this factory is an obvious military target.

"If Russia wins" is a very readable, short book, that describes a possible scenario. It illustrated for me how NATO and article 5 works and that is different then the public perceives it. Highly recommended summer read.
