“ Many Ukrainians argue that Western support has often arrived too slowly. Looking back over the past four years, do you think allies have fully adapted to the realities of this war?
In Canada’s case, I would say no. The support was well-intentioned, but often politicized and disconnected from battlefield realities. Too much emphasis was placed on being seen to provide aid, rather than on delivering capabilities quickly and effectively.”

Horrendous.Russia’s war machine on the brink of collapse. Only Trump’s sanctions relief is keeping the money and drones flowing at this point. Women and children stolen from Africa being used to manufacture.

About 200 African women, mostly between 18 and 22 years old, are employed at the facility, with documented reports of workers describing the conditions as a trap, with costs for accommodation, airfare, and Russian-language classes deducted from their wages. In July 2025, multiple reports — including a documentary by the Russian defense ministry’s own Zvezda channel — indicated that Russia was using children and teenagers to assemble the Shahed drones used to attack Ukraine.”

A happy birthday to my Grandpa Henry Neufeld. Born this day in 1922 at present day, Hrushivka, Zhaporihzia,(Russia-occupied) Ukraine.
Here he is beside my Grandmother on their wedding day in 1943.
Oh cool! You know... Google maps is incredible. I was just looking at the location of the old Mennonite village on Google Earth and up popped a landmark pin and photo just down the lane from his birthplace. It is named:

Which translates as “Old Dutch Mill”... which would jive with Mennonite history!! I wonder if my Grandpa was ever in that mill, likely not as he was only 2 or 3 when they left for Canada but surely his parents and siblings were.
I wonder if it has survived the war? Another war…

This sounds like a disaster for Ukraine. The USA is about to pump billions into Russia's 2nd most important supplier of drones and parts after China.
This war was just a pissing match to determine who was going to pay whom. Looks like Trump and Israel lost (the only good thing out of this) and now Iran and the USA will be continue silently and not-so-silently do Putin's bidding.
Oh. and the bidding of that other fascist world entity, the Fossil Fuel Industry.
