I can already forecast that this unpatched, single-layer segment will probably be where the next hole goes through :-) Could have pre-emptively patched that too if I'd wanted to! Maybe another day :-)

Before and after of my latest bit of mending! An old towel rejuvenated at a smaller size!
I _could_ have just retired this one and used it as scraps to patch another one. But on the other hand, past-me put in some time and effort to add that loop for hanging it up, and I was thinking that if I could turn it back into a good towel, that'd eke out some more use of _that_ bit of work. So that's what I decided to do.

I did a mend!
Good shorts survive another day.
(they're pretty comfortable and have excellent pockets!)
I didn't have an exactly matching thread, so the thread is a little bit greener than the shorts. So maybe it counts as slightly-visible mending.

Coda to my re-make of a raggedy towel (where I made the threadbare bits overlap to rejuvenate the whole thing - see up-thread).
This smaller piece was left over and only a little bit threadbare, and I put a bit of orange zigzag stitching round it! Just seemed like a nice colour :-)

Found out that the animal character print vinyl remnant roll I bought from a designer (custom upholstery project for a kids area of a bouldering gym) is a Charley Harper print, I connected with someone on threads who has the same print on canvas material. Pretty cool!
