Dream scenario. Whilst everyone is gloating over the new Nvidia RTX laptop, everyone also forgets the previous flop of the Arm powered laptops was not on the hardware, but bcs of the lack of decent software to run on it.
It's close to 2028 now and I pick one up for around 500 bucks.

I run Testing on Slackware and I see some Xorg drivers being replaced with Xlibre ones (Wacom, AMD GPU). What's the bigger picture here? Oh, and let's put that out there prior: I have zero interest in unfounded ranting allegations, except my own's. Is Slackware moving to Xlibre?

Slackware Mango/Niri up and running, with all extensive goodies from the slackosaurus. Received some great feedback during my travails, so all's dandy now.

A fresh delivery of slackosundries, my totally random collection of Slackware sw packages.

Think I've gone through 4 kernel updates in a week (7.0.4-7) on Gentoo and Slackware. All went without any notable hitch. We should be grateful and happy with such responsible and dedicated maintainers among us 👍🏻 I certainly am 🙏🏻

You know what's the problem with Linux Mint? It's so damn good.
Apparently yesterday's update borked sth in my Slackware Current. SDDM and then everything stops, usb mouse and kb dead, radio or bluetooth. Look at it later.
Made an LMDE iso, booted with that and start salvaging some files, prior to surgery. Has always worked.
Because I have this Gentoo project to finish 😝

Yep, the odd one out. I downloaded Brave Origin (on Linux it's free) and made a Slackware pkg of it. Even opened a repo to share, but I'll have to upgrade my Codeberg to upload files with a size over 100Mb. Fair enough, another to do. I'll be back.
