"Rachel Reeves, boasted to corporate executives that she has “unblocked” a large housing development in Sussex being held up by “some snails … a protected species or something … microscopic snails that you cannot even see”. .. The very rare little whirlpool ramshorn snail, by no means microscopic, is an indicator of fresh water not affected by sewage pollution"

"Not sure if allowed here but we are moving countries and can’t take our African snail with us.
If anyone would like to give it a good home feel free to contact me. Approx 6-12 months old."
A few months ago a video about the Knight and the Snail popped up in my timeline. I had bookmarked that adorable project to see where it went. There is a behind-the-scenes video on Youtube now that shows the artist working on a shot. The movie is actually NOT stop motion but puppeteering!
Clean plates are filmed, rigs get removed in post, mouth animation will get tracked onto the puppets later.
So far, pub talk has bounced from moss, to snails, and a little skate sex… 😶

Was removing some snails from the greenhouse. Opened skylight to fling them over the fence (into an uncultivated garden) and the window collapsed on my head! No injury as I was wearing a cap and the glass didn't break. Mortice joint had rotted through. Greenhouse was quite old when we arrived 40 years ago and I keep replacing bits.
Luckily I'd kept a partially rotten roof spar so was able to cut it down, using the sound part and joint it to fit.
Never throw anything that …
