I've been listening to podcasts about the Civil War and have been struck by how almost everyone mispronounces Ku Klux Klan, saying "CLUE" for the first part even though there is no "L". Among the offenders are commentators in Ken Burn's The Civil War, everyone on NPR news, and, if memory serves me, characters in the movie, BlacKkKlansman, which is astounding. I found an image from the 1930s that shows that it's not just a modern problem. I mean, if we (must) have defect (dosha, ದೋಷ #Kannada), let it at least be spicy (masaala ಮಸಾಲಾ, ಮಸಾಲೆ). 😆
*They meant to write"dosa" (ದೋಸಾ, ದೋಸೆ); not "dosha". May be they do say "dosha" in Bengali or such but this sign is in Bengaluru, home of Kannada.
