Australia never disappoints - crocodiles that climbed trees
"Some were also apparently at least partly semi-arboreal 'drop crocs,'"
"They were perhaps hunting like leopards—dropping out of trees on any unsuspecting thing they fancied for dinner." #straya

A few snaps from last week’s trip to Forrest, VIC, in the Otway ranges. Taken on a morning run. #running #straya

A windmill is visible across a field in fog with the sun rising behind it.

Just back from 4 days in the Great Otway National Park, Victoria. Stunning place, and we mostly managed to stay dry in the wettest part of the state. Here’s photos from a walk along the coastal path. #bushwalking #straya

Two hikers walk along a coastal path surrounded by green bushes, with hills and a bit of ocean visible behind them under partly cloudy skies.

I hiked through the Great Otway National Park this weekend with some friends, so I took the opportunity today to explain #thicktrunktuesday (which led to an explanation of Mastodon and ALT-text). I believe this is a mountain ash, a species of eucalypt that grows up to 100m tall. #straya

A woman faces the camera with her hand on a tree that completely dwarfs her. The trunk is covered in moss and surrounded by bark. More trees are visible in the background

Perfect conditions for my long run in the Bogong High Plains today. #trailrunning #straya #bogong

Rows of mountains shrouded in blue mist under a bright blue sky. In the foreground is low grass, some rocks, and a sign “Wallace Heritage trail” pointing to Wallace Hut and Cope Hut.

Happy #GravyDay to those who celebrate. #craftbeer #canvent #straya

A can of “Gravy Beer” on a table. The label indicates that it is from Reckless Brewing, is infused with thyme and rosemary, and is to be enjoyed on Dec 21.
