Dear #thunderbird - I really really really want to love you.
But if I go to save a file #attachment and that action _fails_ and you don't surface a meaningful error message and instead bury an uhandled exception/promise in the Developer error console - well, that's just not cool.

Recently switched to using Thunderbird for my yahoo email.
The problem is that unless Thunderbird is open, Yahoo will flag something as spam before my Thunderbird filters get to it.
Only solution I've found so far is basically having to put rules/filters in yahoo...which partially defeats the purpose of an desktop client.
Any ideas? (turning off spam filtering in yahoo apparently isn't an option anymore)

Startling to see how #Thunderbird's Lightning Calendar falls onto its face when you have more than a handful calendars. Showing or hiding calendars takes minutes (!). 🤦

What the heck? Mozilla launches an AI product called #Thunderbolt like the cable standard and similar in name to their #Thunderbird e-mail client?
Must be all those ex Meta managers they hired.

Just out of curiosity, can anyone explain why does #Thunderbird avoid supporting the system tray? It's such a bad experience on KDE 😔 I had to install a fork (Betterbird) to have an email client always listening for new mail without having to trip over it when I alt-tab.

Overgestapt naar Betterbird als emailclient in Linux in plaats van Thunderbird. De lijst verschillen zijn overduidelijk. Wel ben ik benieuwd wanneer/of Thunderbird een aantal fixes zal opnemen. Immers:
'We supply our changes to Thunderbird, but it is unclear if/when "upstream" will accept them.'
Betterbird. Simply better.

My elderly Mom uses #Thunderbird as her client for gmail. Yay for #SilverFOSS !
This is the second time it's become unusable.
The culprit? the same as the last time...she has an ungodly amount of emails open in tabs and it just crashes. Troubleshoot mode seems to get by that to let me 'Close Other Tabs' on a tab.
Boggles my mind it doesn't have some way to 'open clean' without loading the open emails...or at least a setting.
