At one of my favorite cafes, like 3 blocks from a popular foreign #tourism area in #Japan and its all #Japanese #tourists

This is cool.
But a new train sitting on the siding for 4 hours to wait for a freight train when the entire journey is supposed to take 4 hours is the actual problem no one in government wants to solve.
VIA Rail remains a national embarrassment because of successive Liberal and Conservative policy. Now they’ll just be a national embarrassment with new rolling stock.
Oh and people can barely afford to take it across the country. It is mostly an embarrassing tourist fraud with spectacular views.
