- day and month on Gregorian calendar; most common
- day and month on lunar calendar; "traditional folks"
- day when moon aligns with birth star in the lunar birth month; "traditional west coast folks, in the south"

Since I mentioned it: Hampi was the capital of Vijayanagara empire 14-16 Century CE and is believed to be the world's most prosperous city in that era. The temple complex is a UNESCO World Heritage site and has some of the most stunning architecture and sculptures you'll ever see. Absolutely worth a visit.
