I found a stash of mechanics and handicraft magazines from 1936-1949 - just 4 magazines. Heck some are scary 🙂

A photo of a page of 'Mechanics and Handicraft' from 1936, enttled 'Physical and Chemical Tricks!' with subheadings for Poisonous Water and Home Made Sedative. The heading typography is a nice rounded font, there are woodcut diagrams showing beakers and stuff. The details of the home made sedative are covered up.
The paper is old and yellowing.

A picture of a 1949 edition whowing 'Radio beams flag planes' with a drawing of a plane and ground stations and various basic diagrams of equipment. This picture is on old but slightly glossy paper with a bit of blue colouring.
