Roman bronze sculpture of Celestial Venus. She is in the nude, just a himation draped over her left forearm and pulled over her right shoulder by her right hand. She wears an arm ring on each arm and her hair is styled in a top bow, a hairstyle that is very popular with both, Aphrodite and Apollon. She holds an apple in her left hand, a reference to her being chosen as "the fairest" by Paris of Troy.

Sem dúvida que foi um dos fatores que fez eu me interessar pelas ciências exatas. Funciona muito bem esta fórmula de utilizar biografias de cientistas como fio condutor para explicar a ciência. Um grande livro em capa dura e grossa, com o título de "O enigma do cosmo", da Editora Primor.
Um livro está aberto em uma página com astrofotografias coloridas. Uma delas é um close bem de perto das plêiades, que são belas com seu azul difuso característico de estrelas gigantes azuis. Há um pouco de texto, com um destaque em letras maiores dizendo que os cosmólogos de hoje se tornavam físicos nucleares.
O mesmo livro aberto. Na página da esquerda vemos uma tabela de red shifts, ilustrando como o deslocamento do espectro da luz nos permite deduzir a velocidade do objeto que a emitiu.
