I am planning to attend the 4pm #VRChat meetup at #FWA2026, wearing the same (tight-fitting as I have put on weight) shirt I wear in VR. I expect to be even more of a selective mute in person as I am online, but will enjoy being in good company all the same.

It started to go downhill shortly after they added non-VR mode and filled it with microtransactions, but I’m sad to see that it’s completely dying… Paintball and Laser Tag were so fun, I loved playing those and Rec Room was one of the first games I played way back when I got my first VR headset. It’d be cool if someone made a VR-only and open source spiritual successor to Rec Room’s great days…
