Yeesh. I tried to do an article merge on the Spanish #Wikipedia because it somehow ended up with duplicate articles on the same subject.
Obviously this is pretty hard to do because I barely understand #Spanish and I did the mistake of turning one page into a redirect which is apparently a no-no judg…

Since the beginning of this week – following hard work by volunteers and the approval by the Wikimedia language committee – there’s now a #Wikipedia in the Interslavic (medžuslovjansky / меджусловјанскы) language.

Oh boy. The #Wikipedia article on the Iran war lists “Iranian victory” as the war’s result on the article infobox. (But this is tagged as disputed and there’s a lively discussion on the article’s talk page.)
I’m sure this will not help with the very dim view of Wikipedia already held by conservative, MAGA, and Israel-allied sections in the United States and Israel. 🇮🇷🇮🇱🇺🇸

One typical use of AI coding assistants in my work right now: generating locator maps for Bolivian municipalities on #Wikipedia with Posit AI, R, sf package, and public data.
The process was not fast, but now I'm enjoying the power of code to churn out all 339 of these.

I have a couple of images promoted to featured picture status on the English #Wikipedia. But I had not explored similar processes on #WikimediaCommons.
Well, I tried nominating my photo of a historical marker for the quality images guidelines and it just got promoted! 🎉

Searched #Wikipedia for my name and found that there was a Thomas Kahle on Danmarks Næste Topmodel Season 6. He made it to Episode 9!
