Lucas Pinheiro from Brazil just gave South America its first medal (and a gold one!) at the #WinterOlympics. The best result so far was Argentina's bobsleigh team at St. Moritz 1928

We are watching (in our own time via streamer) #WinterOlympics Opening Ceremony and I observe that it resembles a Cirque du Soliel show in weird ways.
My husband says they all do, and especially mentions Paris and Vancouver. And that's not how I remember Vancouver at all, even though Cirque was created in Canada -- Quebec is a lot different from BC!

Okay that was EASILY the best #WinterOlympics ceremony since Sochi 2014. I enjoyed it a lot.

Easily the best Winter Olympic opening ceremony since Sochi 2014. A wonderful showcase of Italian culture and civilization, while at the same time celebrating the games itself. Happy Winter Olympics everybody.
