One of my neighbors swears he's throwing away some surplus holiday decorations.

Next to the trash cans: black wrapped shapes that look suspiciously like human forms.

I should steal junk food. Copy that.
Love the scare acronym, BTW. Y’know, I might consider taking this article seriously if they hadn't plastered it with inline clickbait ads encouraging me to wrap my doorknobs in tinfoil. #meeja #jermalisms

The image features a white ceramic mug held in someone's hand, partially wrapped in clear bubble wrap. The mug displays the Enron logo, a stylized depiction of three interconnected boxes in red, green, and blue. Below the logo, black text reads "Ethics Department Employee of the Year 1999-2000". I've been totally wrapped up in the daily grind for a while lately. Had a chance to catch up with my son in Minneapolis a couple days ago. The good news is that he's still safe and actually has some great opportunities coming his way. The heartbreaking news is that Operation Metro Surge pretty much convinced him to pursue only those opportunities that are going to allow him to leave the country after graduation.

I tootled into Downpatrick (its cathedral said to be the burial place of the man himself) late on St. Patrick's day, in the Land Rover.
I was struck by some senses of Irish identity: people with shamrock face-paint, tricolours wrapped around the shoulders, even the odd wave to my old green car, but also the more sinister: republican scarves and sunglasses on a cloudy day.
Let's hope the positive aspects of being Irish remain the norm, particularly in this place, yeah?

It's a shame that the press release for quantum computer investment has to be wrapped in "AI". Where the "race" has been reframed as the consumption, rather than production, of technologies.
In many ways quantum tech matches the UK's traditional strengths - big expensive important research with (let's face it) extremely vague plans for commercialisation.

The image is a close-up photograph focusing on a black medical alert bracelet worn on a person's hand. The bracelet consists of a black metal chain and a central black rectangular bar. On the bar, there is a white engraving of the Star of Life, a widely recognized medical symbol, positioned on the left side. To the right of the symbol, the phrase "Just throw me in the trash" is engraved in a clean, white, sans-serif font, arranged in three lines. The bracelet is wrapped around the person's wris…
