Had a great day climbing in the Burren (Co. Clare, Ireland) with my friend Barry from Limerick.
We developed two new routes (first ascends) at Slieve Rua:
Broken Bum (HS), lead by Barry, and Midday in the Midlands (HS) lead by me.

„Rettet die Berge – kein Rückschritt beim Alpenschutz!“
Unter diesem Namen hat sich ein breites Bündnis aus Umweltverbänden und politischen Akteur:innen zusammengeschlossen, um gegen das geplante "Dritte Modernisierungsgesetz" der Bayerischen Staatsregierung zu protestieren. Unter dem Vorwand des Bürokratieabbaus sollen Umweltauflagen beim Bau von Skipisten, Beschneiungsanlagen und Seilbahnen deutlich gelockert werden. Dies soll durch die Anhebung der Schwellenwerte für Umweltverträglichkeitsprüfungen (UVP) in drei verschiedenen Gesetzen erfolgen.

Crossing from Pembroke #Wales to Rosslare #Ireland, I just saw dozens of #puffins flying close to the Ferry.
When we first stayed in #Pembrokeshire in 1998, we happened to stay near Martin's Haven one night and simply got a place on a boat to #Skomer Island when arriving at the harbour. I never again saw so many puffins so close.
When trying to reserve a trip for this summer already very early this year, all trips to Skomer were completely booked and even the wating list filled...
