Top achievements honored
Cai Dieball, scientist at the Max Planck Institute (MPI) for Multidisciplinary Sciences, and Björn Müller, researcher at the MPI for Solar System Research have been awarded the Otto Hahn Medal for outstanding achievements in their dissertations. The Max Planck Society (MPS) presented the awards at its annual meeting on June 25 in Magdeburg.

Heute vor 20 Jahren: Am 27. Juni 2005 wurde im #Kernkraftwerk #FitzPatrick (USA) ein Riss im Torus entdeckt, der zu einer möglichen Gefährdung der Containment-Dichtigkeit führte (INES 1). Ein Notfall wurde ausgerufen und das Werk heruntergefahren, um Reparaturen durchzuführen.

Adobe Acrobat on MacOS just had an update that silently turns-on AI clips.
You need to go into Preferences and turn off "Show AI video cards" (and it is good to turn off everything else as well.)
This is especially important (to turn off the Acrobat AI gunk for people with fiduciary and professional secrecy and privacy obligations - like doctors, attorneys, accountants, etc.)
