This Hooker’s evening primrose was an extra seedling I didn’t have a place for so I randomly put it between bigger plants in a container and forgot about it. One day I noticed it was enormous and overshadowing its neighbors.
I dug it up and repotted, again thinking transplant shock might kill it. And here it is thriving!

Trump signed a proclamation Wednesday evening to ban travel from several countries, citing security risks.
The ban will fully restrict entry of nationals from 12 countries:
Afghanistan; Myanmar, also known as Burma; Chad; Republic of the Congo; Equatorial Guinea; Eritrea; Haiti; Iran; Libya; Somalia; Sudan; and Yemen.
People from seven countries will have partial restriction:
Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan and Venezuela.

President Donald Trump signed a proclamation Wednesday evening to ban travel from several countries to the US, citing security risks.

Welp, that’s a first: I had to actually break the glass in case of fire.
This evening, I used a fire extinguisher on a brush fire that had started near a house just three doors down from our beach rental. The owners weren’t home, and if it hadn’t been stopped, it easily could’ve taken the house with it.
Neighbors came running, the kids were thrilled by the whole thing, and I’m still kind of buzzing.
