Selected a #hiking route for tomorrow.
Just reminded myself to check the avalanche status... Selected another route...
Maybe overcautios - but my route would go over a larger alpine meadow. Even though I'd go via a south flank that is mentioned with less risk - when I'm going alone, I prefer zero risk.

My favorite video game company is currently making news because they admitted to falling to AI hype and pushing it on employees even though they’ve (predictably) seen no actual benefits.
I am sad about it but, in good news, writing with a fountain pen continues to be an extreme delight.
I developed carpal tunnel nine years ago, and handwriting would always be a stolen joy in the brief moments before pain would start again. I have been feeling nearly 0 pain in the last two weeks despite filling 50 pages. I feel like I’ve been given a new lease on life in a small way.

@yogthos I don't agree with "China developing in a peaceful way". China is threatening Taiwan with annexation by force and their fighter jets are flying close to Taiwan every day. You might also ask the Philippine fishers who are pushed away from their traditional fishing grounds in the West Philippine Sea / South China Sea. Rewatching Tron (and then Legacy) to prepare for Ares.
What an absolutely remarkable film. It somehow completely still holds up. They've done a nice job on the remaster, so it looks fresh. It's incredible how the ingenuity of the filmmaking means it doesn't look dated, and is still a compelling world. I can't imagine how much painstaking compositing work this took…

Het demissionaire kabinet wil het liefst in Zeeland nieuwe kerncentrales. Maar onderzoeksrapporten die al een jaar op het bureau van demissionair minister Hermans liggen, waarschuwen dat de Westerschelde daardoor zal opwarmen. Ook kunnen de kosten voor de exploitatie flink oplopen. Toch zet Hermans door.
