From a recent hike that I haven't yet blogged about - but I thought I'd just like to share it already with you.
The start of the hike wasn't in the snow but on top, there was still a good winter feeling.
Well, I hope you like it. Maybe it was the last winter shooting this season for me ...

The entire machinery of online discourse around building and creating has been so thoroughly captured by entrepreneurial "logic"
that we've lost the language to describe what it feels like to simply make a thing that helps someone,
give it away, and move on with your life.
I've been feeling this for a while now, and I suspect a lot of folks who have the itch to build feel it too, even if they haven't articulated it.

Made new test prints on some off-cuts, using a slightly stronger developer solution than usual to see impact on max. depth. The main image (Eagle Creek, Oregon) is using 18% sodium acetate (curve corrected negative), the test strips are of 20% and 15% solutions (both uncorrected). The phone capture doesn't really show the differences too well, but I think I will go for the 18-20% from now on...

Lab-grown algae remove microplastics from water
A University of Missouri researcher is pioneering an innovative solution to remove tiny bits of plastic pollution from our water. Mizzou's Susie Dai recently applied a revolutionary strain of algae toward capturing and removing harmful microplastics from polluted water. Yesterday on our bike ride we almost got a sun burn and two weeks ago I was snowshoeing in the mountains! It's wild 😉
