So, first off, this is a beautiful video, about #LosAngeles and the #LosAngelesProtests and community.
So, watch this and we’ll move on to the next piece of the story.

A video by anthony orendorff, an independent filmmaker, speaking about his love of the Los Angeles community that raised him and about the ICA raids and the response of that community, which inspires him.

Iran vowed swift retaliation Saturday following the U.S. military’s strikes on the Iranian nuclear program.
“Every American citizen or military personnel in the region is now a target,” a commentator on Iranian state media said.

Why use hyperlinking if you can create videos recording screens recording screens, just to be able to document other people documenting your own work. The modern internet is just sooo amazing!

Randall Monroe's recent "xkcd What if" video has a Great Lakes connection.
"What if you funneled Niagara Falls through a straw?"
Super cool system where we did fieldwork some year ago.
Kudos for mentioning trouble with the Niagara Board of Control. 🏅

Typical #Mastodon (Fediverse?) moment:

  • a supportive video on the #Fediverse is referenced in a post. In this case the video is on YouTube...
  • one person in the comments saying that the video should really be on PeerTube instead

Ehm, the jury vote has Switzerland and Austria head-to-head. If this continues with the public vote and we win ESC again, by right the next region of Switzerland that should hold the ESC would be the Romansh speaking part!
Where in Grisons should we do that?!?

Senate Democrats are increasingly concerned that President Donald Trump is considering striking Iran without seeking authorization from Congress
— or even filling them in on his plans.

Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Virginia) is mounting a last-ditch push to force a vote as soon as next week
to restrain Trump from attacking Iran without Congress’s approval.

Other Senate Democrats say the White House has not briefed them on its plans for a potential strike.
And some are warn…

Yesterday there was a fire (Ranch Fire) near my house in San Jose, California. I was able to get some close-up video of the helicopter filling up with water.

It seems like, again, just following the plain logic of the Constitution and Declaration of Independence (which, again, I do not subscribe to), that every law passed under Trump, every supreme court justice appointment by Trump, every supreme court ruling by Trump appointed justices, all the illegal firing, etc, must all, necessarily, be null and void.
And if not following from the insurrection act, or from the oath of office, then following from the Declaration of Independence itself. The logic here being that a constitution is a contract between the people and their government, which the later upholds in order to maintain its legal status. The violation of said laws by the government violates "consent of the governed" (which, again, I have issues with the concept entirely but we're just going to ignore that) and therefore nullifies the authority of that government, granting " the right of the people to alter or to abolish it."
That seems a lot like the hard reset some folks have been looking for. Given that existing flaws allowed this state to be reached, it would also be necessary for the true authority to correct those mistakes before assuming authority that derives from these principles.
Now, personally, I don't subscribe to any of this logic but it's interesting to explore, as an outsider, where the logic goes.
