An excellent summary here via @… about how the structures of our civil society have failed to stop ICE from becoming Trump’s Brownshirts.
The one thing the piece omits: someone •is• stopping ICE. It’s the citizens filling the streets, honking and shouting and filming and generally harassing ICE, doing the work our government has failed to do. Between February 12th and 15th, the U.S. sent 299 people—from countries such as Afghanistan, Cameroon, Somalia, and Iran—to Panama. On February 20th and 25th, the U.S. sent an additional 200 people, including 81 children, to Costa Rica. Soon afterward came third-country-deportation flights to Uzbekistan and El Salvador, where more than 250 non-Salvadoran immigrants were detained in the brutal Terrorism Confinement Center.

Disappeared to a Foreign Prison
The Trump Administration is deporting people to countries such as South Sudan, Ghana, and Eswatini, where many are being detained indefinitely or forcibly returned to the places they fled. Sarah Stillman reports.

TIL in 2006 a Putin loyalist wrote a "fictional" novel accurately predicting Russia's future assault on Ukraine. In the novel, this escalates to WWIII followed by the surrender of the U.S. and Europe - sh.itjust.works
