Took a couple of rest days b/c I could feel my hamstring & feared possible injury. After a consideration of time spent in each HR zone over previous runs, it was clear that I was overdoing the pace, even with 4/1 min run/walk intervals. I ~could~ do that pace, but I ~should~ dial it back a bit & build fitness. Anaerobic all the time wasn’t helping.
Cold tonight, just below freezing and 25 mph (40 kph) winds gusting to 50 mph (80.5 kph).

On a very few occasions I’ve had #dreams while my eyes are open. I’m asleep—a couple times when napping on an afternoon, a few more at night, in the dark. My dream self is involved in the dream action but my eyes are seeing the room in front of my face. Or darkness. The dream scenario is happening, but I can’t see it. When the government offers to provide rebates or tax credits to low income Canadians, as recently announced by our Federal Government, most welcome the extra cash. But it doesn't address the key issue in affordable food, housing, or utilities. All of that extra government cash, provided by taxpayers BTW, gets sucked up by corporations that continue to rake in record profits. If you want to truly attack the #Affordability problem then implement laws that penalize excess profit taking by corporations. Take key necessities (food, transit, shelter, utilities, etc.) and create public options that are run as cooperatives and have controlled profit margins.
Marit Styles points out the difference between food prices at independent grocers versus the big chains. The policy position from @… on establishing a public grocery option makes sense, as long as we also protect the small independent vendors in our communities.

Ich rüste meinen Schnittplatz auf. Kommt unter den Schreibtisch, weil ich die Töne, die da rauskommen, ohnehin nicht hören will. Nicht, dass knackige Bässe nicht geil sein können. Aber bei Interviews und den meisten Atmos ist auf Frequenzen unter 100 Hz meist nur noch akustischer Müll zu hören, die mit ihren Oberwellen den wichtigen Sprachbereich (Grundton der Stimme) verschmutzen. Also: wenn diese Membran künftig vibriert, werde ich handeln.
