Now, 10,000 EV drivers in Finland are contributing to grid stability. The smart charging service Synergi, which already optimises EV charging according to dynamic power prices, now provides FCR support to the national grid using this aggregated fleet.

A federal judge on Monday
struck down Donald Trump’s executive order blocking wind energy projects,
saying the effort to halt virtually all leasing of wind farms on federal lands and waters was
“arbitrary and capricious” and violates U.S. law.
Judge Patti Saris of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts
vacated Trump’s Jan. 20 executive order blocking wind energy projects and declared it unlawful.

Very happy to see Trump’s illegal block on wind farm development thrown out by a judge, along with the Orwellian justification given for it—a classic inversion of the truth. Every accusation is a confession, etc. (“The government argued that the states’ claims amount to nothing more than a policy disagreement over preferences for wind versus fossil fuel energy development that is outside the federal court’s jurisdiction.”)

Played some of the demo of @…'s Pyrotoad - it's a total blast. Precision puzzle platformer - tough but do-able. Very challenging, really satisfying once you figure it out. Currently in biome 2, level 1- wow. That's the last pic here. Tough as hell. But fun! Try out the demo - the full game is out November 3.
With the emergence of more processors with 64 cores or more, I'm thinking more about whether it makes sense to implement a hypercube virtualised on a single chip with a single vector of memory, or as a literal hypercube of 64 (say) RP2350s. I understand the problems of transferring data across a hypercube, but I don't have a good feeling of how the bus contention on a multicore processor scales. What should I read?
Maintaining accurate timing in virtual machines has always been a challenge. Especially on hosts with many VMs.
Here's a clever solution, hopefully coming soon to a hypervisor or OS near you.
