Extract Tables from PDF Documents
Bindings for the Tabula Java library, which can extract tables from PDF files. This tool can reduce time and effort in data extraction processes in fields like investigative journalism. It allows for automatic and manual table extraction, the latter facilitated through a Shiny interface, enabling manual areas selection\ with a computer mouse for data retrieval.

Simple Tools for Examining and Cleaning Dirty Data
The main janitor functions can: perfectly format data.frame column names; provide quick counts of variable combinations (i.e., frequency tables and crosstabs); and explore duplicate records. Other janitor functions nicely format the tabulation results. These tabulate-and-report functions approximate popular features of SPSS and Microsoft Excel.
