We prove a local gradient estimate for positive eigenfunctions of $ \mathcal{L} $-operator on conformal solitons given by a general conformal vector field. As an application, we obtain a Liouville type theorem for $ \mathcal{L} u = 0 $, which improves the one of Li--Sun (Acta Math. Sin. (Engl. Ser.), 37(11): 1768--1782, 2021.). We also consider applications where manifolds are special conformal solitons. Especially in the case of self-shrinkers, a better Liouville type theorem is obtained.

We study the Penrose inequality and its rigidity for metrics with singular sets. Our result could be viewed as a complement of Theorem 1.1 of Lu and Miao (J. Funct. Anal. 281, 2021) and Theorem 1.2 of Shi, Wang and Yu (Math. Z. 291, 2019), in which they assume the singular set is a hypersurface and assume an additional condition on the mean curvature. As a complement, this paper study the case of singular set of dimensional less than n-1, without any additional conditions.

We present an algebraic algorithm that computes the composition of two power series in $\mathop{\tilde{\mathrm O}}(n)$ time complexity. The previous best algorithms are $\mathop{\mathrm O}(n^{1+o(1)})$ by Kedlaya and Umans (FOCS 2008) and an $\mathop{\mathrm O}(n^{1.43})$ algebraic algorithm by Neiger, Salvy, Schost and Villard (JACM 2023). Our algorithm builds upon the recent Graeffe iteration approach to manipulate rational power series introduced by Bostan and Mori (SOSA 2021).

Maximal multiplicity of Laplacian eigenvalues in negatively curved surfaces
In this work, we obtain the first upper bound on the multiplicity of Laplacian eigenvalues for negatively curved surfaces which is sublinear in the genus g.
