I rode my bike 600 miles in 2024 and it's June 1st, 2025 and I'm over 500 miles for this year!

I decided to implement a non-uniform random number generator for use in video games. The purpose of the technique is produce random events that are more consistent than a uniform distribution, similar to stratified sampling.

Zu Clint Eastwoods 95. Geburtstag veröffentlicht der Kurier am 30.5. ein Interview, das Korrespondentin Elisabeth Sereda mit ihm geführt hat.
Ein Zitat wird rasch von internationalen Medien aufgegriffen und geht viral:
"Wir leben in einer Ära der Remakes und Franchises. Ich habe dreimal Fortsetzungen gedreht, aber das interessiert mich schon lange nicht mehr. Meine Philosophie ist, mach etwas Neues oder bleib zu Hause".
Am 2.6. nun druckt Deadline ein Statement von Eastwood ab: er habe seit Wochen niemandem ein Interview gegeben, und sicher nicht dem Kurier. Das Interview sei gefälscht.
Der Kurier prüft nun den Sachverhalt, was "angesichts der Zeitverschiebung in die USA etwas dauern wird". (Lol)
Auch interessant: im Interview ist davon die Rede, dass Eastwoods Film "Juror #2" "Ende des Jahres" in die Kinos komme. Bloß war das Ende 2024 der Fall. Ist das Interview eventuell schon ein Jahr alt?
