教養を持つ学者による確認職、を求める人文学者がMV監督が直接参照したであろう「猿の惑星」にひと言も言及してなくて驚いた。
〈猿の惑星〉シリーズは、白人視点からサルになぞらえた有色人種を描くたいへんに差別的な構造を持つ映画作品だけど、その視点の驕りを要所で挟み、ラストでひっくり返すことで今も続編が作られる重要な作品です。MVの監督は明らかに一作目を意識しているんだけど、結果は残念なものになった。
わたしも〈猿の惑星〉を参照する着眼点は良かったよね、と思うんだ。
制作の現場に必要なアドバイザーがあるとすると、教養教養言ってあそこがダメここが差別と言う役割ではなく、古今東西の作品から縦横に助け舟のもやい綱を出してあげる役割だよね。ゆとりのあった時代は「現場にいる先輩」がその役割を担っていた。作る人だ。
ダメしか出さない人は、作る現場に最も不要なんだよ。
