😂 "Ratatouille" is my favorite Disney animated film & I NEVER GOT TO RIDE REMY'S RATATOUILLE ADVENTURE at EPCOT. (I only had 2 Multipass reservations & let my son & wife ride while I quietly sat outside)

Took a day to track down an interesting issue: an absolute ton of noise coming out of the `gscart` SCART switch. It was bad going through the RetroTINK 5X and intolerable coming through the RetroTINK 4K. Started with the SNES, swapped out cables and it was still there. Then copied the ROM and save state over to the MiSTer and saw the same exact issue with analog output from the MiSTer.
It was weird because the SNES is RGB modded via Voultar's SNESRGB and should have some absolut…

Okay, the setup is solid now. SCART into the `gscart` switch which splits the output. One goes to the Sony PVM-2530, the other output goes to the RetroTINK 4K. I tried to get the colors to match somewhat on the CRT, but it's a fool's errand to be honest. However, once work is over it'll be time to progress more in FF6.

I love this film but my one, fairly large, gripe, is that I can't stand Brenda, and for all the unlikely and outrageous things I was prepared to accept, I could never believe that he would be attracted to her. *I* would obviously have been a much better choice and had the advantage of being called Heather 😄

Sadly, my old off-brand, 32", 1080p, 60 Hz TV set slowly fritzed before my eyes after 9 years and 7 months of continuous service. Good game.
Even more depressing, for the last week of tedious browsing, I can't seem to settle on another dirt-cheap ~€300, non-32", non-Sony, non-Samsung, 4K, at-least-a-solid-60Hz TV set that I am confident would not die on me or would not run out of smart software support within the next three years.

The RetroTINK is now hooked up into the SCART switch along with the capture card on the computer. Switched back over to the JVC TM-H150CG because it's a better CRT than the Sony PVM-2530 and it takes up a bit less space. Still need to arrange the cables a bit, but I think this weekend is gonna be perfect for playing some games.

Nach drei Jahren Pause bin ich zurück in der Welt von #HogwartsLegacy. Der Umstieg auf die PS5 Pro hat sich definitiv gelohnt. Die Grafik auf dem großen 4K-TV ist genial und zeigt Details, die mir früher nie aufgefallen sind.

Next edition of our quarterly free village magazine is up on the blocks. Editorial meeting tonight and then I get started populating the layout. Paid adverts already placed–they pay for the printing–the rest is all volunteer work including delivery to 4k homes.
Have been building this with #affinity since 2023 (Quark before that). Good to give back to the community.

In the last couple of days I have had two different types of NUC sized computers, both with Intel x86-64 processors (of different generations) that refuse to put out a video signal via HDMI to an LG 4K monitor.
If I switch to Display port (either via a true DP interface on the NUC or via a USB4==>DP cable) things work just fine.
Weird.

I hate linking to anything on meta, but this is the only good source I can find. This is the sorting from this morning in Minneapolis, slowed down and examined from two angles. It clearly shows that an officer had removed the victims gun and walked away with it before they shot and liked him. This is if anything even more cut and dried than the previous shooting. They disarmed a man who was lawfully concealing a firearm and then executed him in the street, in front of multiple witnesses.
