Seven Republicans joined every Democratic senator last night in voting no for Federal funding bill during a test vote. They need 60 votes to push the funding package through, and only got 45. This is significant.
That said, all of the seven denied that it had anything to do with ICE, with a couple of them making strong statements that they support the agency and mass deportations. So they are still trying to appease both sides. That's some really cowardly shit.

I’ve lost a lot of respect for Andrewism after his recent upload. It feels disconnected from the reality of working-class life and from anarcho-syndicalism as it actually exists.
This response is a worthwhile read. It doesn’t romanticize work or the working class, but it doesn’t drift into abstract alternatives either. It sits with the fact that we don’t want to be working class, but we are, and that contradiction isn’t something you escape with theory.

Folks, I’m just putting the finishing touches on an update to the Gaza Verified site that will make signing up for verification as easy as signing in with your Mastodon account (with none of the manual adding of the verification link to your profile that proved to be a stumbling block for many).
I’ll be reopening sign ups today once I’m done with that.
