TIL #GitHub is limiting statistics/graphs for repos with more than 10,000 commits... Considering ~99% of those in https://thi.ng/umbrella are my own, it seems I've been rather busy... 😇
I’ve spent some time playing with uv and GitHub Actions and action/cache.
The latter’s behavior is a bit idiosyncratic, but I think I’ve built something overall usable: https://github.com/hynek/setup-cached-uv
LMK what y’all think.
Interesting work , create an animation with just one ID-picture.

I was playing with my random name generator just now, and it came up with 'Nohurraeliy' as a female name.
What is it that makes me think she'd be a very laid back individual?

You probably did not know this (I did not until last year), but there is different "flavors" of Cron.
Vixie Cron is most likely the one that you use when you edit crontab. And with the extra functionality that it provides - it has made us Linux-users very spoiled.

Followup on `tokio-tar`. As expected, nothing happened so far.
Apparently there is also a `tokio-tar-up2date` crate which is exactly the same thing as `tokio-tar` right now. Probably it was created as a temporary hack while `tokio-tar` was unresponsive.
Then, there is a `krata-tokio-tar` crate that's more recent. However, this one really seems like fork of a fork that was created for the same of some specific project and still without any hope of long-term maintenance. I've refiled my pull request there as well.
I've also filed a bug for #UV, since using dead dependencies is not a good practice.

Back in 2011 I thought maybe using Social Networking tools for servers isn't a bad idea - tagged events etc. interested people can sign up and follow subsets of machines etc.
Trying this again with Mastodon and this fairly cool notification tool called Apprise https://github.com/caronc/apprise

I recently needed a script to convert mbox files to maildir, and to my surprise this was a nontrivial problem. I only found one written in perl that didn't work with my mbox files. As I don't speak perl, rather than trying to fix it I wrote one in python. It's very simple, as python's standard library already brings all the functionality, in case anyone needs it:
Incredible work by @… getting @… parsed into @… (sound on):

@… am I wrong or using your working copy “external” repository would work as a way of accessing files and pushing to GitHub in my Godot port?
Is there something I might not be understanding that might prevent that?

#GitHub is under attack.
“The flow of the campaign is simple:
1. Cloning existing repos (for example: TwitterFollowBot, WhatsappBOT, discord-boost-tool, Twitch-Follow-Bot, and hundreds more)

4. Automatically forking each thousands of times

Alright, S-mode / SBI test on the Milk-V Duo S works.
And it does so on both cores, the "C906B" ("big") as well as the "C906L" ("little").
The only difference I can tell is that the little one has no vector support.
You can see it in this screenshot.
