Alt 1/2 (excluding code blocks):
Copilot Al:
copyBegin and copyEnd are not clamped to numPixels, which could lead to copying beyond buffer if the number of destination pixels is smaller than the cache length. Consider clamping copyBegin and copyEnd to [O, numPixels].
haileys: This Al slop is wrong, copying beyond the end of the buffer is exactly what this PR fixes.

My neighbor's yard.

An explosion of plants: fir trees in the background, smaller trees, various bushes, uncut grass with a big patch of white dandelions ready to spread their seeds in the wind.
It is nearly sunset. The sky is golden and purple and the light from the Sun is burning the pixels as it shines from beneath the trees.
One can also notice an old wooden fence, partially visible through the greenery and some gray, old remnants of some wooden thing.
It is not clear if anything in the photo is in focus.

teaching a transformer net to approximate ray-tracing
input is a sequence of triangle data (limited to 4k triangles), and a sequence of 8x8 radiance pixels representing the camera (limited to 512x512 resolution)
output is a sequence of 8x8 pixels of the rendered scene. training was ~10 days. generation is ~100ms (NVIDIA A100)
the results are pretty good. scaling will be a challenge (since transformers are quadratic in sequence length)

There are two main reasons I'm not using GrapheneOS. The first is that I've had two Pixels die on me from hardware flaws, and so I think their hardware is complete trash. The second is that every time I see them talking, they're trashing some other free software project or (openish) hardware. Only _their_ platform is secure. I'm getting strong Theo De Raadt vibes from them, which is not the kind of thing I'd want to deal with.

Marina Hyde is a brilliant columnist:
Imagine owning the world’s premier shitposting platform – in fact, having spent $44bn on it, specifically so that your magic mirror would tell you each day that you were the fairest shitposter of all – and then shuffling sheepishly on to your own pixels to mumble something about having gone “too far” with your hurty words.

I know AI and neural processors fill/fix pixels when taking pictures with digital zoom, but it boggles my mind how many people do not appreciate the merits of closeup pictures (as in being up close or using optical zoom).
Or maybe I'm the one who is wrong. 🤔
Here's a closeup worth every bit:
