Ich versuche heute meinen eigenen ‚mod‘ Operator in #texlatex zu bauen. Er soll sich genauso verhalten wie ‚mod‘, aber ‚rel‘ heißen. Mein bisher bester Versuch:
\newcommand{\rel}[1]{\allowbreak\mkern18mu{\operatorname{rel}\,#1}}
Das ist aber einfach nachgebaut. Gibt es keinen Mechanismus in AMSTeX der so etwas schon abbildet?

? 🤔 Between words a tilde ~ always prevents a line break, what's different about the dash(es)?
