Measurement of the $e^+e^-\toηγ$ cross section near the $ϕ(1020)$ resonance with the SND detector
In the experiment with the SND detector at the VEPP-2000 $e^+e^-$ collider, the $e^+e^-\toηγ$ cross section is measured in the energy range $E = 980 - 1060$ MeV. The measurement is carried out in the $η\to 2γ$ decay mode. Data with an integrated luminosity of 73 pb$^{-1}$ collected in 2018 and 2024 are used in the analysis. I was working in the garden - Monarch butterflies were fluttering around.
When I went to clean up I found one on the ground with a damaged wing - it could not fly. I didn't know what to do so I put it under a nearby milkweed. But I suspect a bird will get it. Sigh.

Butterflies -- in total five red admirals (although I didn't get all of them into one photo), one small tortoiseshell, and two cabbage whites -- feeding on the same field thistle on my croft in yesterday's sunshine. I'd like to pretend this was a common sight, but it's not; still, it is a comfort that one can still occasionally see this many butterflies active at the same time.
There were also two dragonflies around, but I failed to photograph either.
